Admission is highly competitive. Students complete a two-stage selection process, with final placement based on examination rank, school choices, and capacity.

Two-Stage Selection

  1. 9th-grade transcript: applicants must have either a total grade of 98%, or a total grade of 95% with a full mark in one of Science, English, or Mathematics.
  2. National STEM Admission Test: timed examinations in Sciences, English, Mathematics, and IQ.

Scoring below 50% in any one of the four admission-test branches results in disqualification. Passing candidates are ranked and allocated to their school choices across the 25 STEM schools, according to examination rank and school capacity.
